Arkansas County Busted Mugshots
A mugshot is the photo taken at booking. It happens at the Arkansas County detention center, no matter which agency made the arrest. The Sheriff's Office, Stuttgart Police, DeWitt Police, Gillett Police, or another department may have started things off. Still, the jail record begins at admission. The public roster shows the picture beside a booking number, the intake time, the charges entered, and any bond amount.
Arkansas County keeps North and South District offices. One countywide roster serves both. City arrests don't always land there, though. A citation, a quick release, or a transfer elsewhere sends the paper trail down a different road. When admission does occur, the roster entry usually names the arresting agency. Without admission, the police report stays with the agency, and any criminal case ends up in the proper court.
Arkansas County Booking Record Fields
The live Arkansas County roster gives the public a useful snapshot. State jail standards demand more. Every person held gets a fuller detention record, and the public cards don't show it all. Missing fields include the court date, case number, court division, scheduled release date, and final outcome. Those details must come from detention staff or the court itself, not from an aging roster card.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | The public identity label and the strongest key for matching the jail record. |
| Booking date and time | When jail intake was recorded, not necessarily when the alleged event occurred. |
| Charges and bond | Intake charges and the bond value shown at that time, both subject to change. |
| Booking photograph | The jail identification image displayed on current and recent-release entries. |
| Profile details | Age, gender, race, and arresting agency when populated. |
| Release timestamp | Added in the 48-hour release view for a recent exit from that jail. |
Arkansas jail rule 12 CAR § 50-503 goes further. It requires data like demographics, confinement and release times, the reason for confinement, offense classification, the arresting or confining officers, and warrant or commitment details. So a detention file and photograph definitely exist. The rule just doesn't force every piece of it onto the public website.
Request Arkansas County Booking Records
Want an older Arkansas County booking photo or record? Send a focused Arkansas Freedom of Information Act request to the custodian. Ark. Code Ann. §§ 25-19-101 through 25-19-112 lets any Arkansas citizen inspect or copy public records, unless an exemption applies. Requests can arrive in person, by phone, mail, fax, email, or any electronic channel the office provides. Describe a specific record that exists. Don't ask staff to dig through someone's whole history.
- Give the full name, approximate booking date, known booking number, and arresting agency.
- Ask for the existing booking sheet, booking photograph, and release information needed.
- Request electronic delivery and reasonably segregable nonexempt portions if part of the file is withheld.
- Ask for the cited exemption and an itemized estimate before a charge is incurred.
- Send a city-created incident report request to the police department that made it, not automatically to the jail.
The statute sets different clocks. Records not in active use or storage are due immediately. If the file is active or stored away, the custodian certifies that status. Access then opens within three working days. That deadline isn't a standing three-day wait for everything. One more limit applies. Agencies never have to create a record that doesn't exist.
Arkansas County Booking Photo Fees
The Arkansas County Sheriff's Office posts booking photos openly on current and recently released entries. A warning notes that charges and bail can shift. The office lists detention and booking contacts. It posts no special booking-photo fee schedule or separate local request form, though. Arkansas FOIA generally caps ordinary copy charges at actual reproduction cost, beyond normal staff search and review time. Transmission fees may ride along. Estimates above $25 can require advance payment, and the custodian must itemize that amount.

Assistant Jail Administrator Peggy Pitts: 870-659-2062
Booking Officer Tabetha Inman: 870-659-2064
Posted office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Current contact details live on the official jail information page. ACSO cautions that listed charges and bail can change after court appearances. For the current bail, charges, and case number, detention staff should verify directly. The contact interface appears in the captured jail information page below.
That contact list becomes the fallback when a photo or booking entry has aged out of the public roster.
Arkansas County Juvenile Arrest Privacy
Juvenile records sit behind a firm legal wall. Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309(j) makes juvenile arrest, detention, proceeding, and qualifying investigation records confidential, with narrow exceptions. A written juvenile-court order can open one door. Formal felony charging in criminal division can open another. So a missing juvenile mugshot isn't a search failure, and it's not a cue to hunt for a private copy.
Don't try to rebuild confidential youth matters from scattered reports using adult roster methods, either. A custodian weighs the statute, any court order, victim and safety limits, and other exemptions against the actual request. Nonexempt portions may be separated out and released, but nobody can promise every Arkansas County arrest file or photo will see daylight.
Seal Arkansas County Arrest Records
Arkansas calls adult relief record sealing. It doesn't physically destroy every paper, cache, or news story. The Comprehensive Criminal Record Sealing Act, Ark. Code Ann. §§ 16-90-1401 and following, sends a uniform petition to the court that handled the matter. Grant it, and the clerk passes the order to the prosecutor, the arresting agency, the Arkansas Crime Information Center, and the relevant lower court.
Timing depends on how things ended. Eligible misdemeanor or violation convictions generally allow filing 60 days after all sentence, restitution, cost, and reinstatement duties wrap up. An arrest with no charges filed has a route after one year. A nolle prosequi, meaning the prosecutor declined to proceed, usually carries the same one-year wait. Felony rules carry their own limits and exclusions. Eligibility is always fact-specific, so confirm the current statute and the Arkansas Judiciary sealing forms with the handling clerk.
- Disposition
- The court's result, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or judgment.
- Sealing
- A court process that limits routine public access to an eligible official record.
- Nolle prosequi
- A prosecutor's formal choice not to continue the charge at that time.
Arkansas County Mugshot Removal Law
Arkansas took aim at one specific scheme in 2021. Act 450, now coded at Ark. Code Ann. § 4-75-102, applies to private websites that charge money or anything of value before they will take down an Arkansas booking photograph. That is the whole target. Sheriffs, newspapers, and other publishers holding accurate images are not covered, so the statute is not a general erasure right.
What does the law demand of a covered operator? Contact information must be displayed, and there must be a free way to confirm a request was received. The written request itself needs the person's name and date of birth, the arrest date, and the arresting agency. Removal must happen within five business days, at no charge. Hold onto the page URL, the request, proof it was sent, and any sealing or disposition order. There is no reason to pay a middleman for a remedy the statute already guarantees for free.
Private sites play by different rules. RecentlyBooked posts a free update or removal process covering wrong-person errors, duplicates, outdated data, dismissals, sealed cases, and juvenile records. Busted Newspaper offers a contact route but promises nothing about deletion. The Mugshots.com Arkansas County archive appears historical, and its old policy link no longer works. Keep any publisher request separate from court sealing, and from asking a search engine to refresh a stale result once the source page changes.
Find Arkansas County Busted Mugshots
Custody status should shape where you look. The Arkansas County roster answers one question: who sits in the county jail right now. Its release page answers a different one. That page covers people who left the jail in the past 48 hours. The Arkansas Department of Corrections search reaches a state-corrections population instead. Search ARCourts tracks the court case. Federal and immigration locators run their own systems and show no booking photograph to the public.
- Open the sheriff roster gateway and choose current custody or 48-hour release.
- Sort the current roster by date and newest first, then use pagination.
- Record the booking number, intake time, and arresting agency before matching another record.
- For an older release, request the existing booking record and photograph from ACSO.
- Use Search ARCourts for filed charges and the final case result.
- Switch to ADC, BOP, or ICE only when that custody system fits.
A name that turns up empty proves very little. Maybe the person was cited rather than booked, released outside the bounded window, or listed under a name variant. Transfers, holds in other facilities, and gaps during updates all produce the same blank result. Look past the name field. When the public search cannot settle the question, ask the proper custodian directly.
Busted Arkansas County Jail Roster Search
The ACSO roster gateway opens with two buttons. One is Current Inmates. The other is 48 Hour Release. A current-inmate card shows the photo, name, booking number, booking time, charges, bond, and a link to a fuller profile. Profiles sometimes add age, gender, race, and the arresting agency. You can sort by name or date, switch between current and released views, and flip newest-first or oldest-first, with pagination built in. One catch: the interface had no standard free-text name search box.
| Control or field | Best use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | Present displayed detention-center custody | Not every arrest leads to admission |
| Date, newest first | Approximate recent admissions still held | No fixed intake window |
| Name order | Browse alphabetically | Not a typed name search |
| Pagination | Move beyond the first visible results | Counts can change |
| View Profile | Open details and the larger booking photo | No final disposition |
How fresh is the roster? The sheriff promises no refresh schedule. Same-day entries do show up, but that falls short of a real-time feed, and the site's own notice calls the data a convenience that cannot be certified for accuracy. For anything urgent, custody status, bail, charges, or a case number, confirm with detention staff by phone.
The gateway screenshot below shows the split between current inmates and recent releases.
That split matters more than it looks. Reading Arkansas County busted mugshots correctly means understanding that the two views track entirely different custody events.
Busted Releases Are Not Bookings
The 48 Hour Release page is the county's only official multi-day feed. It is built around releases, not arrests. Someone booked months ago and freed today can sit beside a person booked and released within minutes. Neither entry means both were arrested in the last 48 hours. Each listing keeps the booking photo, booking date, booking number, charge, and bond, then adds the release date and time.
There is no 24-hour booking feed here. No 72-hour list, weekly blotter, or historical release archive either. For same-day bookings, the closest official option is the current roster sorted newest first. It has a speed problem: a fast release may already have moved to the release list. Planning a formal request? Write down the booking number, since the public release entry disappears once its window closes.
Arkansas County Busted Feed Limits
The sheriff's digital footprint is compact. It includes the roster, a wanted page, press releases, a file-upload crime-tip form, and a Facebook account linked from the official site. None of it adds up to a full county booking feed. Press releases only follow incidents. Facebook completeness for arrests or photos is unverified. The tip form is not monitored around the clock, and ordinary email is unencrypted. ACSO promises no confidentiality through either channel.
No sheriff app exists here. No roster push alert, and no Warrant Wednesday feature. That gap matters, because a vendor app from another Arkansas county cannot substitute for this one. Rely on the live ACSO pages for whatever each actually publishes. For event notifications, VINE is the right tool, not social posts treated as a ledger.
Arkansas County Busted Source Channels
Let official records lead every search. Private county pages and local news can surface an item first, but their time windows and purposes vary widely. One may omit a booking entirely. Another may preserve an entry long after the fact, or repeat intake charges even after the court record has moved on. Treat them as discovery aids, not as the record itself.
| Channel | Photo | Status and scope |
|---|---|---|
| ACSO current roster | Yes | Official present-custody view |
| ACSO 48 Hour Release | Yes | Official recent-release view, not an arrest feed |
| ADC Inmate Search | Yes | Official state-corrections population |
| Search ARCourts | Normally no | Official filed case and disposition route |
| Stuttgart Daily Leader | Sometimes | Recurring, incident-driven journalism using credited agency images at times |
| DeWitt Era-Enterprise | Not assured | Periodic police-report narratives |
| Busted Newspaper and RecentlyBooked | Yes | Unofficial county sections; verify all current facts |
| Mugshots.com | Yes | Unofficial historical-looking archive, not current custody |
Two of the biggest commercial sites fall short here. Arrests.org has no verified Arkansas County option, and Mugshots.zone offers no usable local page. Neither counts as county coverage. The private pages that do exist work only as discovery aids. Check anything you find there against the sheriff and the court before you rely on it.
Arkansas County Booking Alerts
Arkansas VINE is the verified way to get booking alerts. Notices can arrive by phone, email, SMS, or TTY. You can search a name, booking or offender number, case number, ADC number, or supervision PID. Depending on what is available, event notices cover release, transfer, escape, death, return, court dates, and supervision updates.
Why do sources disagree for a few hours? VINE publishes its own data schedules. County jail information moves every 15 minutes, DOC data hourly, and court or supervision details once a day. Those intervals belong to VINE, not the sheriff roster, so a custody notice can land before a docket catches up. Keep your contact details current. For anything urgent, call the holding office directly. VINE is not a mugshot source or a final outcome record, and it never replaces 911.
Arkansas County Corrections Mugshots
The Arkansas Department of Corrections inmate search tracks people held in state corrections, mostly sentenced offenders. It is not a fresh Arkansas County arrest roster. Search options include ADC number, county, first and last name, facility, gender, offense category, age comparison, or race. Profiles include an offender photograph.
Filtering by Arkansas as the county pulls corrections records tied to the area. Labels like Arkansas Co. 309/Work, Arkansas County Waiting List, or Arkansas Cty 309-In Jail still describe a corrections population. None of that makes ADC a county pretrial feed. If a public DOC image is hard to find, send a narrow request to DOC.FOIA@doc.arkansas.gov asking for the current identification photo and offender summary, ideally with the ADC number attached.
Federal systems work differently. The BOP locator finds federal prisoners, generally from 1982 forward, but shows no photo. The ICE locator covers current ICE custody or more than 48 hours in CBP custody, also without images. A county detainer note is not the same as a hit in either system.
Arkansas County Busted Court Outcomes
A roster entry stops at intake. Search ARCourts picks up the story after that, showing filed charges, hearings, pleas, dismissals, acquittals, judgments, sentences, and sealing activity. Match the booking date, arresting agency, court, and case number rather than trusting a same-name result. If no online match appears, go to the clerk. A new, sealed, confidential, or locally unavailable case may simply not show up in the public search.
Jurisdiction decides which office holds the file. Felony criminal matters run through circuit court, with Arkansas County locations at 302 South College in Stuttgart and 101 Court Square in DeWitt. Misdemeanor, traffic, ordinance, and preliminary matters may land at Stuttgart District Court, 304 South Maple, or the Southern/DeWitt department at 120 Court Square. Those addresses sit near sheriff and police offices, but they are not interchangeable.
A Stuttgart Daily Leader court report shows the handoff in practice. Sheriff material gave the arrest date and image, an initial appearance supplied bond details, and the story flagged that formal charges were still pending. The court disposition, not the first mugshot article, closes the record trail. The captured official court search below marks the right starting point.
Treat search results as a discovery tool. Certified outcomes come from the court clerk that holds the case.
Archived Arkansas County Booking Photos
No numeric Arkansas County retention period for booking photos or booking jackets could be verified. When someone drops off the current or 48-hour roster, that only ends the web display. It says nothing about the underlying jail record. Ask ACSO which local record schedule applies. Ask whether the item stays with the sheriff, was lawfully destroyed, or was transferred, and whether an electronic image exists.
The Arkansas State Archives keeps county and state records, newspapers, photographs, and audiovisual material. It is not one big searchable county mugshot archive, though. Its historical Prisons photograph collection covers The Walls, Cummins, Tucker, and the Women's Reformatory from 1887 through 1961. Those images come from state prisons, not old Arkansas County jail roster cards. University of Arkansas Special Collections also holds penitentiary records, with limited photographs and some restricted material.
The archive path is narrow. Ask ACSO about the exact county booking first, then have archive staff search relevant finding aids, and use prison collections only if the subject entered state custody. County booking, state sentences, and historical institutional photography are three different things, and they should stay that way.
Busted Mugshots Across Arkansas County
Stuttgart, DeWitt, and Gillett all run their own police departments, yet none posts an online arrest blotter you can count on. So work through the county instead. When someone lands in the Arkansas County Detention Center, the county roster lists them, and the arresting-agency field tells you which city made the bust. Want the fuller police narrative? Ask that city department directly for the incident report.
Each city follows the same pattern. Stuttgart arrests show up in the roster once the person is admitted, and the Stuttgart Daily Leader prints regular Police & Fire roundups that add color. In DeWitt, the roster is still the fallback, while the DeWitt Era-Enterprise publishes its own periodic police pieces. Gillett has no verified blotter at all, so the county jail roster stays the first place to check. Keep in mind that not every street encounter ends in a booking, so the roster will never tell the whole story.
Need to reach the sheriff's offices? The North District sits at 312 S. College St. in Stuttgart, with a 24-hour line at 870-659-2066. The South District is at 1000 Ricebelt Ave. in DeWitt, reachable any hour at 870-659-2060. Despite the two addresses, this is one countywide detention system with a single shared roster, not a pair of separate lockups.
